Damask Shower

One of my favorite things is party planning. I love to coordinate events. I want to share some how to's and ideas from my bridal shower.

My theme was classy but simple, I went with Damask and Green for decorations.
Above are Orchids, Carnations, Hydrangea, Hypercum Berries, Fern, Black Feathers and some other greenery. This made for a beautiful tall arrangement on the head table with the punch and cupcakes. The venue provided all white table linens - I bought from Amazon damask table runners to place down the middle.

One of my favorite items is above - the crystal punch container is from Macy's. The punch we chose was Pom Punch - Sprite, Pomegranate Juice, Moscato and Vodka

And for my specialty, cupcakes. We did chocolate, lemon and white with classic white frosting topped with pearlized sugars! The L-O-V-E dishes came from a local Party Store, Create-A-Party in Davenport, IA.

Cream Cheese Mints - enough said - DELICOUS. These were made a few months ahead of time and just thrown in the freezer until the party day!

The cupcake bouquets were my mother's idea. Which turned out amazing.

Directions for Cupcake Bouquet -
Cut stems of flowers and stick into the ball randomly - leave about a 3 inch circle for the cupcakes to fit in. Place the dowel into the ball then place the cupcake on top of the dowels.
Supplies -
Half Circle Styrofoam - found at Walmart
Artificial flowers of your choice
Wooden Dowels
Cupcakes

Tables all set up with runners, fresh flower arrangements and placecards.

Runners - Damask from Amazon
Favors - Wedding Favor website, small black box with clear bag fill with candy of your choice. I chose Pearlized Sixlets.
Place Cards - Damask duck tape cut in 2"x4" on a piece of cardstock of your choice.
